▪  To provide an international volunteer service opportunity for U.S. or Canadian university and high school students on the island of Jamaica in the Caribbean.

◘  The programme is designed to give students an experience of working

within another culture, working with those of the greatest need.

◘  Volunteers will work with the elderly, the young, those with disabilities

and others who are disadvantaged.

◘  Volunteers are encouraged to reflect upon their experience.  This helps 

process the experience and allows them to bring back to their home culture

what they have seen and have experienced.

▪ To provide support and assistance to the residents and staff of the various placement sites in Kingston, Jamaica.

◘  Volunteers work at sites that are in dire need of assistance, that provide services for the destitute, the sick, the disadvantaged and the economically displaced, with those of the greatest need. 

◘  These sites are unable to hire adequate staff due to a lack of fiscal resources and so utilize volunteers in a positive and needy way.
